Train Simulator: Southern Railway S15 Class Steam Loco Add-On Crack 32 Bit >> http://shoxet.com/18rchh
About This Content Take control of an icon of Southern steam as the Southern S15 is now yours to enjoy in Train Simulator, courtesy of Partner Programme Developer, Bossman Games. The S15 Class was originally formed from the mind of the London & South Western Railway’s Chief Mechanical Engineer, Robert Urie, as there was a need for a new locomotive to fulfil heavy freight duties in the early 1920s. Urie’s original mixed-traffic H15 design, which helped the LSWR in the midst of the war effort, would serve as the basis for his future locomotives. With a more modern requirement - that would see a locomotive capable of serving south coast ports and running express dairy trains in and out of London - still in place, Urie changed key aspects of his H15 Class to produce a freight-dedicated locomotive. The result rolled out of Eastleigh Works in February 1920 as the S15 Class, and it was quickly established that this locomotive would be a very successful worker. The first batch of LSWR’s S15 locomotives was 16-strong and finished production by May 1921. Two years later, the LSWR would be amalgamated into the Southern Railway as part of the Grouping Scheme, creating the “Big Four”. With this, Urie stepped into retirement and left Richard Maunsell to take over as Chief Mechanical Engineer, and with his new position, Maunsell took the opportunity to further develop the quickly proven S15 Class before a second batch was produced, and the resulting modifications were continued to see the class excel in service.Based across the Southern Railway’s Western Region, from London to coastal ports of Southampton, Weymouth and beyond, the S15 Class was a well-abled freight locomotive that could shift heavy loads, at speed, with relative ease – and would often find itself at the helm of nightly express goods. Surprisingly, despite the specific design, and classification, that make the S15 a freight locomotive, the fleet was also found to be very capable at passenger work when required. This would make the S15s the longest lasting LSWR 4-6-0 engine in service. The S15 Class held onto regular duties far into the 1960s, with the last being withdrawn in 1966. All 45 locomotives were sent to South Wales for scrap, but thankfully, a total of 7 were rescued and were only 2 of those have yet to be operational in preservation. Akin to being the longest lasting, the S15 is also the most prolific LSWR 4-6-0 to have survived the end of steam, and many enthusiasts get to enjoy a hint of yesteryear behind the powerful S15 Class. From Bossman Games, the Southern S15 Class for Train Simulator brings challenging excursions to the exquisite West Somerset Railway (available separately and required to play the included scenarios).Included ScenariosGoods Arthur to MineheadMinehead to Bishops LydeardSouthern WorkhorsePlease Note: The West Somerset Railway Route Add-On is required, as a separate purchase, in order to play the scenarios featured in this add-on.More scenarios are available on Steam Workshop online and in-game. Various pipes have their own individual hissing and gurgling sounds. To a certain extent can ascertain loco state by listening; can tell which valves are open and saves much looking at HUDs. Lots to do while driving so grateful for the auto-stoker. Challenging to maintain steam on steep gradients with heavy load; and interesting brake systems which work well when familiar with operation. Essential to read the manual. Good forward views from cab and carriage round off a thoughtfully designed package.. Brilliant and much needed addition, as the game does lack some SR content. And LNER, and a bit of LMS...whatever, a great loco by BMG and very much worth the wait. Just seems to be some annoying hissing sound from the loco if it is placed on a map as a driveable loco but not driven, ie in free roam.Still, sounds great, looks great and drives great. Looking forward to the Black 5 and the BR S15 Marketplace pack!. I am most pleased with this great looking locomotive, I found it easy to drive after reading the manual, with regards to the brakes. The only two drawbacks for me are:1. The overly loud ejector noise when releasing the brakes.2. The bright white coloured wheel treads, are too wide and appear to partially extend to the side of the tyres. The wheels on the tender are a more realistic colour IMO.Taking all that into consideration I would still give this locomotive a well deserved 9 out of 10.. A simply wonderful locomotive. A fairly accurate representation of the s15 and a great add on to anyone's collection.WARNING: This engine borrows most of its sounds from the N15 'Sir Lamiel' King Arthur Class locomotive. If you already have the Sir Lamiel, and do not wish to have a quote 'copy cat', then this engine is probably not for you. Also, I had purchased the BR livery pack with this locomotive (sold independently). I'm a big custom route creator and love to run my locomotives on routes I make, for roleplay purposes. I had noticed that when I purchased the pack, my original s15's would become invisible if I tried to place them onto my route. It wasn't until I had requested a refund for the BR livery pack that the southern engines reappeared. I had this problem, but you might not. Just a warning.Overall, it's one of my favorites to drive. It's BECAUSE of its difficulty that makes it so enjoyable. Never a dull moment on a Steam Engine! haha I also recommend getting the West Somerset railway with this engine. The scenic route coupled with this historic loco equals a great time in my opinion. Also scenarios scenarios scenarios! The s15 has scenarios in this route! :DI give this engine a solid 8.5/10. It would be a 10/10 if it didn't recycle the King Arthur Class sounds though.. I loved it! However, I couldn't figure out how to shut off the cylinder ♥♥♥♥♥.. A nice train to drive. Well then time for a review. First off for a new model to be released by a new company can i say well done. The S15 is a beautiful model with decent animations and textures and can be pleasure to drive along any British route. The one problem with this beautiful addon which lets it down which is such a shame is the sounds. They are reclcyed from the n15 king arthur pack which is another great model let down by its sounds. If steam sounds superme can get hold of this model for sounds then this pack would be a 10 out of 10. However due to its sounds it only scores an 8 beautiful model but let down by its sounds. Keep it up Bossman Games you have made a superb engine. A nice train to drive. Liking all the noises. Enjoyable to drive without being over-complex. Powerful, smooth and free-steaming, great sounds (whistle could be a little better but it's by no means bad). Just sadly misses out on a few points that the TS steam loco lover has come to know from other developers such as wheelslip simulation - but since this is is Bossman Games' first addon, I'm looking forward to seeing what else comes from this dev in the future. TL;DR: It's good, I recommend it. Not quite Victory Works though.
